Blogging
First aired Friday 4th October 2011 on The Arts Show at RaW1251AM
www.radio.warwick.ac.uk
In this hour-long feature we concentrated on exploring the student interpretation of what a blog is and what it's useful for, without too much postmodern irony. First Isobel Rogers chats to photographer Jack Davison (http://www.jackdavison.co.uk) about his THREE different websites, trying to ascertain the difference between Tumblr, Flicker and his own personal website in terms of what they provide for himself and others. Next we hear from Warwick University English Literature Finalist and self-confessed blog-addict Emma Jane Denly on the psychology behind writing a personal blog (http://yellowdrama.wordpress.com). Then finally, we hear from 18 year old Grace Molan, who founded her immensely popular fashion blog 'Moda de la mode' (http://modadelamode.blogspot.com almost exactly one year ago, and has since clinched herself an internship in a London fashion company and thousands upon thousands of hits!
Finally, to keep it fresh, we played some songs which we found on Youtube about blogging, so thanks to the following for your insight on blogs and the entertainmnent you provided on our show:
Ben Cabe
Swedish Love Mafia
Rosie May
Ben Walker
